Nearing the finish line…

The Start of the Finish

To Every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes, 3:1

November 29, 2017

Dear Friends,

I suspect you know where I’m going with this. After 33+ very fruitful years of ministry in Tyler, The Scroll’s season is coming to an end. It has become apparent to all of us that, although we have some very loyal customers, our “in-come” is just not covering our “out-go”. Therefore the decision has been made to close the store. We will begin the process of liquidating our inventory in December, finalizing everything by the end of February 2018.

The Scroll was founded as a nonprofit organization with the purpose of selling Christian materials at discount prices. We saved East Texans a LOT of money for many years, and books and Bibles and gifts with the message of Life have been placed in needy hands. We were also able to support area ministries. Your purchases have made it possible for us to substantially bless Living Alternatives, KVNE, Pine Cove and many others. It has truly been an honor to serve this community, and though we are saddened by the decision to close, we also rejoice in what we’ve accomplished.

But we’re not quite finished yet!

Starting December 1st you will receive an extra 20% off at the register. That’s an extra 20% off both regular AND sale prices and we have a bunch of great deals throughout the store. We’ll even apply that discount to special ordered items we don’t have on our shelves. So shop early & often for those unique Christmas gifts that share LIFE! And don’t forget to check back after Christmas for even deeper discounts as we clean house!

Help us go out with a BANG!

In a nutshell:

  • 20% off your total purchase including an extra 20% on sale priced items

  • 20% off special orders (prepaid and non-refundable)

  • Returns accepted until January 15, 2018 (with receipt)

  • Gift cards are available and will be accepted until we close

So, although this is a bittersweet time, we are choosing to CELEBRATE The Scroll, and what this store has meant to all of us, employees & customers alike for over three decades. We’ll praise God for our blessings and end our time here with JOY!
